About This Project
Gobox was a storage-on-demand service leveraging data and technology to create a more convenient way to create more space in your life. I led the marketing department executing hyper-focused experimentation across channels, optimising the funnel through acquisition, sales, onboarding, retention and referral. Gobox was a great experience in honing a true experimental approach. As we discovered that the demand in Copenhagen could not support the higher operations cost, we were confident from our data-driven experiments that the business wasn’t viable when we shut it down.
Some key initiatives I led:
- Managed the SEO strategy climbing to page 1 for key search terms within 6 months, up against long-standing incumbents.
- A series of web user journey optimisations boosted online signup from 0.22% to 1.77% over 12 months.
- Integrating the data through the acquisition experiments through to Hubspot sales and in-product use and retention.
- Used integrated data to re-design product trial structure leading to a 40% boost in paying customers.
- Grew the performance ad strategy (mostly Adwords, Google Display, Facebook Ads) to be driven by LTV. I drove the team to have a more integrated understanding of the cost of servicing different customer types which could be targeted through different top-of-funnel campaigns.
