About This Project

Over the years I have intermittently worked on projects building WordPress sites for friends and contacts. This continues to be an amazing way to keep in touch with my techy, creative, hands-on spirit. I get to tackle different challenges like branding, UX design, SEO and web functionalities holistically. It is a chance to be practical and to better understand approaches in design, marketing and technology that helps me with being an all-round digital strategist. Below is a sample of some of these sites.

Kalaset, the little Swedish cafe in the heart of Copenhagen, needed their “hyggelig” character and friendly vibe to come across in a simple website. I worked with the warm colours and imagery from the cafe to evoke the feeling of going to your nanna’s place for a home-cooked meal. This worked well with the brand image, the vintage vibe and home-cooked focus in the cafe.

Layback Living is my brother and father’s furniture business. The aim with the site is to be familiar in navigating products, but also to feel homely and organic in getting to know about the particular products a user is interested in.

Anja Hubbard is a Psychologist based in Copenhagen. The site needed to be very personal but also comprehensive in the information provided on different psychiatric disorders. Additionally we worked to make the call to action stronger than is typical on medical websites and structured the site for hassle-free SEO.
